JOB SUMMARY

As a Buyer, you will play a key role in managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely procurement of materials. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining a vendor base for required materials.
  • Procuring, tracking, and expediting materials to meet customer expectations.
  • Participating in supplier audits and vendor assessments.
  • Promoting competitive bidding to support cost savings.
  • Working to reduce costs of purchased goods.
  • Generating reports to monitor purchase orders, safety stock, inventory values, and more.
  • Maintaining accuracy of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data.
  • Interfacing with other departments as needed.
  • Performing additional tasks as deemed appropriate.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

 

  • Associate degree in a technical field or Supply Chain Management, with at least 5 years of purchasing experience or a high school diploma with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with an ERP System.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on building positive vendor relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks.

  • Availability to travel occasionally (mainly local).
  • Availability to do overtime.
  • Proficiency in SAP.

SALARY RANGE

 

  • $48,000 - $60,000 per year
  • Bonus
