JOB SUMMARY
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Controller to support our Finance and Controlling team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has solid academic foundations, initial exposure to financial processes, and strong potential to grow into a critical controlling role. This position involves assisting with financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and performance monitoring. A preference is given to candidates with working knowledge of SAP ERP, IFRS, and GAAP standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
- Support variance analysis between actuals, budget, and forecasts.
- Contribute to period-end closing activities in coordination with the accounting team.
- Maintain accurate financial data and ensure proper documentation according to IFRS and GAAP principles.
Cost Controlling
- Support cost center reporting and analysis for production, logistics, and overhead departments.
- Participate in product costing activities, including standard cost updates and variance analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Collect, organize, and analyze financial and operational planning inputs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
ERP & Systems Support
- Use SAP (it would be a plus) or other ERP systems for data extraction, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Help improve system workflows and reporting tools for better transparency and efficiency.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure adherence to internal control requirements and corporate financial policies.
- Support audit activities by preparing required schedules and reports.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in controlling, finance, accounting, or auditing.
- Basic knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Familiarity with an ERP.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and curious with a strong desire to learn.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with SAP ERP.
- Internship or working‑student experience in a financial department.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
SALARY RANGE
- $52,000 - $68,000 per year.
- Bonus.
