JOB SUMMARY
The Storeskeeper is responsible for receiving, organizing, issuing, and maintaining inventory and shipping materials, ensuring accurate documentation, adherence to procedures, and support to production and customer service operations.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify against purchase orders for quantity and accuracy, and record documentation.
- Prepare and organize packages for shipment, including components not physically passing through Stores.
- Conduct inventory counts with minimal supervision and monitor stock levels of high-usage components.
- Identify overstocking or shortages outside of formal control systems.
- Maintain shipping and receiving records, arrange crate building or purchasing, and manage inventory of shipping supplies.
- Follow first-in/first-out inventory process and update locations in SAP as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure Stores area, including recycling responsibilities.
- Work according to daily departmental priorities and comply with ISO 9001 procedures and instructions.
- Represent the department in internal meetings when required.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve issues arising during the shipping process.
- Promote and contribute to a safe and healthy workplace for all personnel and visitors.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Associate’s degree OR minimum 3 years of experience in a shipping/stores environment.
- Understanding of shipping operations, including production, purchasing, engineering, and materials control.
- Experience handling shipping paperwork and coordinating with carriers.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stacking, lifting, climbing ladders, operating forklifts, and working at height.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with PC tools and inventory systems.
- Knowledge of material movement and inventory accountability.

SALARY RANGE
