We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team in Tonawanda, NY.

JOB SUMMARY

 

  • Read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and general arrangement drawings to plan and complete assembly activities within defined cost, time, quality, and safety parameters.
  • Confirm the availability of all materials and drawings before production begins, based on schedules provided by the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Review P&IDs, piping spool drawings, and bills of material to ensure manufacturability.
  • Plan pipeline layouts prior to production when spool drawings are unavailable and ensure material availability for each line.
  • Coordinate with the engineering department to evaluate changes and prepare Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  • Maintain the facility's preventive maintenance system by requesting quotes and coordinating with external contractors for repairs and services.
  • Coordinate the procurement and dispatch of materials for ongoing project installations.
  • Collaborate with logistics and materials teams to manage shipments and support outsourcing initiatives.
  • Promote and enforce all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) directives.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of material.
  • Well organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a job shop environment.
  • Knowledge of freeze-drying processes in pharmaceutical applications and experience with aseptic equipment layout and assembly.
  • At least 1 years of experience in the production and assembly of freeze-drying (FD) equipment.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Demonstrated potential for growth and advancement within the organization.

SALARY RANGE

 

  • $ 48,000 - $ 53,000
